'I fear it is only a matter of time' before parked van in Ashfield causes accident

I have twice reported to the Ashfield police the fact that a large van is parked (for days on end) on the grass verge on Diamond Avenue at Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

This is close to the junction with Thoresby Avenue and restricts the view of vehicles coming up Diamond Avenue from the direction of Derby Road.

The only response I have had from the police so far, has been an acknowledgement that they received my complaint.

As it has been some time since my reports, and the fact that the van still remains there, it is obvious that the police are not concerned and certainly will remain so until such time that a serious accident occurs.
