Clipstone headstocks: No outside interference

I note with interest that AGAIN, Bob Renshaw of Boughton is trying, through fancy words, to encourage a DEMOCRATIC vote by the good people of Clipstone to have the headstocks removed, to be overturned.

I also note that AGAIN, he has not mentioned ANY finances associated with keeping headstocks would probably be eventually burdened on the ratepayers of Clipstone whether they agree to keep them or not. I also note that Bob Renshaw has again not offered ANY personal financial support to keep the headstocks.

The good people of Clipstone, who cast the democratic vote, MUST be very wary of interference from outsiders who are not prepared to share the obvious financial burden which will eventually come their way. I am sure I am not the only person who thinks this way.

Nobody wants to forget the proud mining heritage of Clipstone, so, as there are only two ways into the village, both with a large traffic island to be negotiated, why not half a winding wheel with a plaque on each island? Just a thought but a much less expensive idea than keeping the headstocks.
