Brainwashed over benefits

No wonder local people are sceptical about the Mowlands scheme.

Yet another attack on our greenfield sites to pacify governments.

We are constantly brainwashed about all the benefits this will bring to the area by people who have no affinity to Kirkby except a speculative interest and who are prepared to go to any lengths to succeed. There may be jobs initially, but what happens when the building is done and the townsfolk are left with congestion and urban sprawl?

Bit by bit politicians and councils have tried to erode our heritage and I fear the thought of halcyon days and a green and pleasant land are over. People have to live somewhere, but at the present rate of immigration, the thirst for housing will never been quenched. People should say that enough is enough and use their vote as politicians dictate, but don’t listen.
