LETTER: Overwhelmed by quality of care at King's Mill

With so much bad news about, I felt moved to write concerning the local NHS and its response to my recent issue.

I am 63 and have never been in hospital,

But recently I drove myself to the walk-in centre at King’s Mill Hospital in severe pain. From the moment I registered at reception to the time I was discharged a few days later, I was completely overwhelmed by the wonderful quality of the care I received.

The dedication, the professionalism, the co-ordination across the various departments was quite remarkable. My short stay was incredible and it was an experience I will never forget.
