LETTER: At last, the Labour Party has seen sense
The Labour Party must read the Chad, and in particular my last letter.
Fabulous news, Labour has seen sense, for the first time in living memory, to put forward, as their next Parliamentary candidate, someone actually from Mansfield or knows Mansfield and its people.
So NO Prescott, or indeed any other Westminster elite.
The local branch has a difficult choice to make, but at least it has a choice, where none existed before. And it will have the chance to get behind whoever is chosen. Since the political map has changed, Labour no longer controls the council and we have a Tory MP who will, and his party, be very keen to hold onto Mansfield at the next election, so choice for all.
