LETTER: Folkhouse show was truly magical event

I went to see the Folkhouse pantomime, Sleeping Beauty. It was spectacular.

The cast and production company should be proud of what they produced. The script, the costumes, the scenery, were magical and so funny. I haven’t laughed so much in ages. Even the children were quiet and enthralled by the spectacle. Mind you, it is a far cry from the early 50s, when I was a part of it for a time.

Then it was all very amateur teenagers and the costumes were very basic, with no changes, apart from the principal characters. We presented it on the small stage in the old wooden hut, but had so much fun. Oh happy days.
