I don’t think anyone could’ve predicted the ups and downs that people have experienced this year and how things will have been affected by Covid.

The Conservatives were elected on an ambitious manifesto which set out the vision to level up areas like Mansfield and Warsop and to unlock the potential of those areas that felt like they had been forgotten for many years.

There are now more doctors, nurses and police officers looking after our communities.

Locally, we have new projects such as operation reacher to tackle local community issues on an ongoing basis instead of being reactive.

We have put extra funding into schools so all children have the best education possible and invested in hospitals, both to make sure they have the money they need to tackle Covid and also invest and upgrade the NHS infrastructure, including £600 million announced this month.

We have delivered on our promise to end free movement and take back control of our borders by introducing a new points-based immigration system which will attract the best and brightest from around the world, while encouraging British employers to train and invest in the UK’s workforce.

In Mansfield, we have put bids in for £51 million Future High Streets Fund and the Town Deal funding which will go towards improving the town centre and helping the high street recover.

We have been working on extending the Robin Hood Line and we have put in a proposal for the A60 pinch point at Sainsbury’s, though Covid is slowing things down.

Locally, I have continued to raise Mansfield and Warsop’s profile in Parliament and championed the town to make sure it gets every opportunity.

I would like to thank everyone once again for putting their trust in me as their MP.

I am so proud to represent Mansfield in Westminster and will continue to work to make sure we get the best deals and investment we can.

Ben Bradley is MP for Mansfield.
