I’ve had another busy week in London as Parliament dealt with lots of important legislation.

Last Monday was the Trade Bill, ensuring continuity as Britain rolls over its current EU trade deals to the UK as an independent country.

There was the Counter Terrorism and Sentencing Bill which will introduce tougher sentences for offenders and the UK Foreign Aid budget has been cut by £3 billion by the Foreign Secretary to ensure Britain can begin the recovery from Covid-19.

The Government is doing what people asked, getting Brexit done and fulfilling the manifesto promises.

Thankfully it’s now recess and I’m back in the constituency for the summer.

However, this doesn’t mean I am stopping work.

It just means I will be out in the constituency more, talking and listening to you all.

Over the next few weeks, I will be out and about delivering my summer newsletter, giving everyone an update on what I’ve been doing in London and across the whole of Mansfield and Warsop over the last couple of months.

If you see me out and about please say hello, or if you fancy delivering them with me, please contact my office.

Over the summer, I want to hear how you and your family are coping with our ‘new normal’.

I’m aware that the pandemic has changed everyone’s lives from new parents whose children haven’t met grandparents, to people who have been isolated due to shielding and students and parents who haven’t been at school.

All our lives have been impacted in some way, so I have done an online survey to try and understand how you and your family have been impacted and get your views on how your priorities have changed.

The link is on my Facebook page and my website.

I would be really grateful if you are able to complete it to make sure I know how things have changed and what your priorities now look like.

I’m really looking forward to spending my time in the constituency listening to what you want to see happen in Mansfield and Warsop.

As ever, if there is anything I can help you with please contact my office and I will do my best to assist.

Ben Bradley is MP for Mansfield.
