Even though we have been doing fantastically well in Mansfield, the rise in cases here over the past couple of weeks shows us how quickly the situation can change.
It is everyone’s duty to play their part, so let’s get back to following the simple rules.

You also need to follow guidelines about car sharing and ensure you self-isolate and book a free test if you have symptoms.
We are working with businesses to ensure they are doing all they can to keep customers safe.
This includes controlling numbers in their premises, reducing contact, ensuring social distancing and maintaining adequate track and trace information.

The council continues to be to be at the forefront of putting in place measures to support the most vulnerable citizens and families in our district and last week we launched our first two FOOD (Food On Our Doorsteps) clubs in Bellamy and Oak Tree which will enable families to access food destined for landfill at a vastly reduced cost.
The scheme combines the principles of local ownership, bringing the community together and whilst it provides valuable assistance, it encourages self-help and independence.
Our philosophy is all about taking our services out to the residents, so we are using the FOOD clubs to provide a range of other support and advice services.

Mansfield is open for business and it is important that we support the local economy.
