Both major political parties have agreed that going door to door delivering leaflets during a pandemic is not the right thing to do.

I would politely suggest to any party who has spare volunteers during this pandemic then please feel free to volunteer at any of the vaccine hubs or local voluntary groups.

Last week, Ashfield Health Hub managed to vaccinate its 10,000th person which is an outstanding achievement.

The staff and volunteers at this amazing place have got the set up just right and are ploughing through the numbers every day to make us safe.

A big shout out to Janet Enever and the residents of Brinsley who last week dipped their hands in their pockets for tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates for the vaccine hub staff.

It was agreed that there is a case for the scheme to be reviewed and I look forward to working with Government on this issue which affects so many of my community.

If it joins, Britain will become the 12th member of a bloc of nations – including Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand where 95 per cent of goods traded between members are tariff-free.

This is a £9 trillion free trade area which provide future opportunities for British businesses to trade more freely and more competitively at home and abroad.

MPs expenses are never far away from the news.

My expenses are out there in the public domain and I when I say expenses, I mean staff wages, office rent and costs, computers, stationary, rail tickets and accommodation in London, that’s it.

My expenses are purely to provide an excellent service to the people of Ashfield.
