We asked our readers to share the most memorable moments of the past 10 months with us.

James Woodcock said: “The first lockdown was meant to be two weeks and it would be all over.

“It’s not going to be all over, it’s not just immunising people in this country it’s the whole world. “The disease is already endemic and mutating which will require us to have jabs every year .

“When is it going to be truly over ?

“We have to see a return to what it means to be human , to be able to hug our friends , dance together.”

300 days is quite a length of time – many of our readers commented that it doesn’t seem that long ago that the first lockdown started.

Carolyn Swallow said: “It seems like a lifetime.”

Marti J Powell: 300 days and still in the same place - doing nothing.

"They managed to find a vaccine - but there is a vaccine for the flu.

“And people still get the flu, so what exactly has been achieved in this time?”

Some commenters shared what they are looking forward to in the future.

Jonathan Mark Hulbert said: “My favourite time was been on furlough, literally got paid to do nothing then I was fired from that.

“Now I’m working nearly 70 hours over five days a week.”I can’t wait to be able to book a holiday.”

Not everyone has been working from home, key workers have had to spend the last 10 months in extreme working conditions.

Georgina Bacon said: “It didn’t stop for me being a key worker in a care home.

“But I did happen to save up more money to go buy a caravan I’d been saving for the last three years.“I’m hoping it opens in March so I can go enjoy it.”
