Ollerton police station has reopened after a complete refurbishment.
Since November the Forest Road police station has been undergoing a face-lift for new floors, reception area and a lick of paint.
But now staff have moved back into the building after operating out of the neighbouring Station House.
Andy Gan, neighbourhood inspector, said: “This new station demonstrates our commitment to maintaining a police presence in Ollerton.
“Since November we have been busily working behind the scenes to bring the station into tip-top condition.
“The total refurbishment means we have a completely newly-fitted and rewired interior, including new floors and reception area, as well as a lick of magnolia and blue paint.
“There is also a new eco-friendly solar and boiler system, dramatically reducing our carbon footprint and keeping our feet warm in the winter.”
New members of staff have also joined the force. PC Dawn Adams returns from leave to the Bilsthorpe beat along with PCSOs Liam Batey and James Fretwell.
PCSO Laura Bowditch joins the Edwinstowe and Clipstone beat team from Newark and PCSO Rachel Swinney is a new PCSO for Ollerton. The station is open weekdays.
