Officers arrest man who punched friend outside a police station

A New Ollerton man was arrested after hitting a man during an argument “between friends” outside Ollerton Police station on July 15.

Andrew James Davies appeared in custody at Mansfield Magistrates’Court on Wednesday where he pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour.

Davies 35 of Walesby Lane, also admitted failing to attend for an assessment following a test for a class A drug, failing to surrender to police bail and failing to answer to police bail as soon as practicable. He was given a 12 month community order with drug rehabilitation, and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge £150 criminal court charge and £85 costs.
