Notts Wildlife Trust meeting next month

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE Wildlife Trust’s newly-reformed Mansfield and Ashfield branch is going to hold its next meeting in Annesley Woodhouse next month.

The branch meeting will be held at the Acacia community centre on Acacia Avenue on 11th September.

The topic of the latest meeting will be fungi - and anyone with an interest in ecology is warmly invited.

The guest speaker will be Ann Ward who is chairman of the Nottinghamshire Fungi Group.

The event, which has been organised by ACCESS (Annesley Community Committed to Ensuring Sustainable Settlements), will also include an update on the group’s campaign to protect Little Oak Plantation, as well as an opportunity to meet the new Wildlife Trust Education Officers.

Folk can also find out about the volunteering on the group’s management committee.

The meeting takes place at 7:30pm. Car parking is available at the centre, while the £2 admission includes refreshments.
