Notts weather warning: Gale-force winds to batter the region

Winds reaching speeds up to 50mph are expected to pass through in the coming hours, bringing with it rain.

Bright spells are expected this afternoon but the high winds will persist into this evening before dying down.

However, the winds are expected to return tomorrow bringing with it more heavy rain.
