NOTTS: Severe weather warning
Forecasters are warning of the potential for localised flooding in Nottinghamshire at the weekend, as intense thunderstorms sweep the country.
Thundery downpours are expected to affect the East Midlands, including Nottinghamshire, during Saturday and the Met Office has issued a ‘yellow alert’ for heavy rain.
They say the public should be aware of the potential for localised flooding due to the intensity of these storms, although the Met Office says that at this stage the location of the heaviest rainfall is still uncertain.
