In conjunction with Nottinghamshire County Council, John will be appearing at Mansfield Library on Sunday, November 29, and Worksop Library on Tuesday, December 1.
He will be discussing his life and career with fascinating insights and anecdotes.
John will be reading from his autobiography ‘From Bo’ness to the Bernabeu: My Story’ at Mansfield and Worksop.
The events follow a similar successful event held last year at West Bridgford Library which was well received.
John said: “The event at West Bridgford was a brilliant evening, in a superb setting and there was a great atmosphere, so I am looking forward to the forthcoming talks at both Worksop Library and Mansfield Library as well.
“Partnership initiatives between Nottingham Forest and the county council’s library service really help promote the value of reading and libraries to so many people.”
The Mansfield event runs from 1pm to 3pm and entry costs £6. Call 01623 651337 to book.
The Worksop even will be 7.30pm to 9.30pm, and again costs £6. Book on 01909 535353.
The events are among a packed programme of activity taking place in libraries across the county over the next month.
These events are further examples of the exciting and varied programme of around 7,000 events we host in our libraries each year—offering something for everyone.
Other highlights in the programme over the coming weeks include a series of jazz evenings taking place at libraries including Worksop, Southwell and West Bridgford, and Christmas craft events for children at many libraries across the county at libraries including Mansfield, Eastwood and Sutton-in-Ashfield.
