It has been claimed nationally that PCC Paddy Tipping has said that the force will ‘probably’ not go out to shop lifting reports as they plans to prioritise crime due to funding.

He has said that the force does the ‘best’ with the resources they have.

There were 8,786 shoplifting offences recorded by Nottinghamshire Police between June 2016 to June 2017.
