Dressed in a purple jacket and grey trousers, the frail pensioner shuffled slowly into the court room and spoke only to conform his name during the short preliminary hearing.

She said the case was not suitable for a summary trial and needed to be moved up to crown court.
Young was told to attend a hearing at Nottingham Crown Court on August 26.
