Newstead Abbey to hold Nordic Walking class to raise cash for Kynan Eldridge Fund

NEWSTEAD Abbey will be the location for Nordic Walking classes raising money for the Kynan Eldridge Fund.

Nordic Walking is a fullbody workout, a single session burning approximately 400 calories and utilising 90 per cent of your skeletal muscle.

Anne and Peter Eldridge, who set up the fund offering grants to assist young people achieve their potential through music in memory of their son, enjoy Nordic Walking themselves and said they were ‘thrilled’ about the event.

The classes will be launched on 20th May during the abbey’s Spring Fair from 11am-4pm.

Classes will cost £6 per person and last one hour with all proceeds from the classes going to the Kynan Eldridge Fund.

There will be three opportunities to take part in introductory sessions during the day at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm. The classes will be led by Pip Bateman.

There are 15 places on each session and anyone interested is being urged to book to avoid disappointment.
