Newark and Sherwood Homes celebrate staff success

Newark and Sherwood Homes has introduced a tenants’ award for staff, based on the compliments it receives from customers.

The new award was presented as part of Newark and Sherwood Homes’ Staff Recognition awards held recently, which recognised and celebrated staff excellence in delivering housing services to tenants.

There were two winners of the tenants’ award, which were carefully selected by a judging panel from a list of 17 nominations.

The winners were Louchavan Lemard, a Gas Fitter/Plumber and Clare Johnson-Cooper, a Customer Service Advisor for Newark and Sherwood Homes.

Louchavan was chosen as a tenant’s carer said he was very considerate of a particular tenant’s needs and nothing was too much trouble. He was called a real credit to Newark and Sherwood Homes.

Clare Johnson Cooper was nominated by a tenant for her assistance following her mother’s recent fall. The tenant was said to be very grateful for Clare’s help.

Rebecca Rance, chief executive of Newark and Sherwood Homes, said: “We are really excited to have introduced a tenants’ award to celebrate cases where staff have gone beyond the call of duty to put tenants at the heart of everything we do. The efforts of all those receiving awards has made a real difference for tenants and for the company in working to achieve our vision to deliver excellent housing services.”

At the event, a number of staff were also nominated by their colleagues for a staff recognition award. Those nominated are unaware of who put them forward and the reasons why they have been nominated, until attending the event.

The first award went to Wendy Crowther, who is an income management advisor.

The second award went to Ian Jackson, a customer service advisor.
