New unit planned for retail park
Proposals to build a new retail unit St Peter’s Retail Park have been submitted to town planners.
The new building could be built to the side of the existing Home Bargains store.
Submitted by The Mary Street Estate Ltd/BLD Mansfield Ltd, if given the green light it could see almost 1,100 sq ft of new retail space added, which is much smaller than most of the existing units.
It will also be single storey in height.
Although there is no mention of what the new shop could become, it is estimated that up to 10 new jobs could be created.
