New role for public speakers at council
Great public speakers are being asked to consider taking on a role as a ceremony officer with the council.
Nottinghamshire County Council’s Registration Service is looking for part time ceremony officers to register and carry out ceremonies across the county, including weddings, citizenship, naming and celebration of vows services.
Applicants need to be exceptional public speakers, enjoy working with the public, have excellent organisations skills, and be sensitive and professional in character. Full training is provided but successful applicants will need to have experience of presenting to large audiences, clear and legible handwriting, and a good standard of basic arithmetic.
