New hours for recycling centres

Between April and September, Nottinghamshire’s 13 recycling centres, including those in Bilsthorpe, Hucknall, Kirkby, Mansfield and Warsop, are open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm.

However, as the nights draw in, the centres will close earlier.

From the 1st October to the 31st October, recycling centres will close at 6pm instead of 8pm and from the 1st November the sites will close at 4pm as the clocks go back for winter and daylight hours decrease.

Spokesman Kevin Parker said: “September is the last month that the sites have longer opening hours so it’s a perfect opportunity to recycle a wide range of materials.”
