New, healthy food-to-go at King's Mill Hospital

The snacks will be based in the existing WH Smith shop in the main entrance, thanks to a partnership by the two retailers to offer more food choices to patients, visitors and staff at the hospital.

The decision is in line with the government’s bid to make the food for sale in shops at hospitals across the country more healthy by including salads and more fruit options.

A spokesman for Sherwood Forest Hospitals Trust, which runs King’s Mill, said: “I hope people enjoy the improved selections. It is great that they will now have a wider range of food options when visiting or working here.

“We worked closely with Marks And Spencer and WH Smith to meet the needs of patients.”
