“I’ve really enjoyed my first few weeks here,” added Mr Tew. “Leen Mills is a very nurturing school with a good sense of teamwork and community which is reflected in the children and how they care for one another.”

Mr Tew said whilst it is inevitable thatwith a new headteacher there will be changes, he moved to reassure the school community that they wouldn’t be made without good reason.

“I’m here to learn about the school before making any changes and won’t be making changes for changes sake.”

As with all schools, there are major moves in the pipeline with the introduction of a new national curriculum in 2014.
