Murder arrest after woman's body found in King's Mill Reservoir

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said the body was discovered at the reservoir, between Mansfield and Sutton, this morning.

Part of the reservoir was cordoned off while the scene was examined.

The spokeswoman said: “Police and other emergency services were called to King’s Mill Reservoir after the body of a woman was found in the water in the early hours of this morning.

“A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

“Enquiries are on-going and the scene has now been lifted.”
