Ashfield MP Gloria De Piero is once again preparing to hold another jobs fair in conjunction with Ashfield District Council, the DWP and Vision West Nottinghamshire College on Friday 22 September (10am-2pm).

Over the course of the past few years, the jobs fair has helped over 1000 people in Ashfield to find a job.

The venue is now full with over 40 stands booked by big name businesses and smaller employers and organisations ready to offer opportunities to prospective employees.

Those returning to work and those in work but looking for a change in career will be brought together with employers with posts to fill at the Festival Hall in Kirkby between 10am-2pm. Trent Barton,Van Elle and Thorntons are just some of companies showcasing what jobs are on offer to local folk.

Speaking ahead of the event, the MP said; “This event has been great for getting people back into work or giving them a career change over the past few years. Unemployment is low in the East Midlands at the moment but many people might not be in a job that is right for them. The jobs fair means they can come and have a look round and see what is out there for them in this area.”
