MP factfinding over small earthquakes
Sherwood MP Mark Spencer is seeking advice from the British Geological Survey over the large number of small tremors in the New Ollerton area recently.
A report by the British Geological Survey showed there were 18 earthquakes in Ollerton in December last year and the following January.
Said Mark: “I am seeking reassurance there is nothing to worry about although earth tremors in this country are usually very small and do not cause any damage I want to find out what is happening as there have been a large number of them clustered around New Ollerton.”
