Andrew Moore, 45, of Montrose Close, indicated a guilty plea to harassing the woman by talking to her on the phone on March 23 and breaching a restraining order.

Robert Carr, prosecuting, said: “The complainant says she and Mr Moore met in March 2015. She described the relationship as volatile and she reported him for assault.”

The court heard Moore was banned from seeing her with a 24-month restraining order made on December 22, 2015, but breached the order in February 2016.

“On March 23 he rang her phone and spoke to her for 51 minutes,” said Mr Carr. “She said he was crying and slurring his words.

“She kept telling him she didn’t want to meet him again.”

He called her again three times, but she ignored the calls.

Moore, unrepresented, denied contacting his ex-girlfriend and says she called him. He said: “I am sorry it’s happened. I am trying to build my life at the moment.”
