Missing Derbyshire pensioner found thanks to social media appeal
A pensioner who went missing from his home in New Whittington on Wednesday has been found thanks to an appeal on social media.
Alan Haywood, 77, was spotted in New Whittington last night by a member of the public who had seen the appeal to find him on Facebook.
A Derbyshire police spokesman said: “He’s now having a medical check-up and has been reunited with his family.
“Officers would like to thank everyone who has helped.”
