Mentally ill Ashfield man admits damaging accomodation

Callum Dallman, 21, who lived in supported living accommodation at Acorn View, Kirkby, pleaded guilty to damaging property belonging to his landlords.

He admitted to damaging the furniture, door frame and electronic intercom system inside the building, at Mansfield Magistrates’ yesterday (August 26).

When interviewed, Dallman told the police he was the most drunk he had ever been.

Prosecuting, Marjorie Kirkham-Smith, said staff at the accommodation could “smell that he seemed to be under the influence of alcohol”.

Dallman has now moved out of the accommodation, as the defence described that there were some “unsavoury peer pressures” there.

Lead magistrate Elaine Konieczny said: “This man clearly has mental health issues.

“It’s a very nasty incident Mr Dallman.”

The case was adjourned for Dallman to be reviewed by the probation service.
