MELANIE WILSON: Family's grief after loss of 'precious' daughter
The body of the 22-year-old from Mansfield was found in Sutton on Thursday, November 3 and the community is in mourning by the shocking death of such a 'special' young woman.
Her brother, Peter Wilson, 31, said: "I'll think of her and I'll light a candle for her every day.

Hide Ad"I'll remember how she used to laugh, her sense of humour was famous.
"We're keeping strong and trying to do our best for Melanie. We're all grieving. We can't believe she's gone, it's devastating. She was my mum's entire life - she always wanted a girl, and Melanie was her precious, precious daughter."
"She was a huge lover of dancing and mum and dad supported her with that. She went to a dance academy at the old Venue 44 building and was always performing shows growing up.

She's described as a bright and charismatic person by friends, and her best friend Emma Walker described her as 'always holding the limelight.'

Hide AdSo it's such a 'tragedy' that she was 'robbed of life' at such a young age, her brother added.
"She's struggled growing up, and me and her have always supported each other. We've understood each other.
A public service has been set up at New Cross Community Church in Downing Street, Sutton on Thursday, November 10, 3pm-8pm. Peter is hoping to attend as all are invited to light a candle and show support for the family.
There is also a charity football match and fun day organised on November 26 in aid of Melanie's family.
