The public is being invited to a meeting to have their questions answered about proposals to demolish Welbeck Miners’ Welfare at Meden Vale.
Plans are in place to pull down the old club which now sits empty.
It closed a year ago because of financial problems, and despite attempts to revive its fortunes, it is now earmarked to be demolished.
The meeting will be held at the Three Lions pub on Netherfield Lane on 3rd February at 7pm.
Meanwhile, security measures are to be stepped up around the old welfare club, which will include CCTV cameras, to deter vandalism and would-be thieves.
