Match played for tragic Liam

A football match has taken place in memory of a 16-year-old who died recently following a battle with a kidney cancer.

QE Rangers turned out against Selston FC on Saturday 22nd February for the game, dedicated to former team-member Liam Aldread.

All proceeds on the day were donated to Liam’s family.

Liam suffered from Wilms’ tumour - a type of kidney cancer most commonly found in children under five - which spread after radiotherapy.
