Masked raider threatens elderly Mansfield woman

A man in a balaclava knocked at the front door of a property on Shireoaks Court, Syerston Road, at around 9.10am on Wednesday 7th January.

When the occupant answered the door, the offender forced his way inside.

The victim, an elderly woman, was pushed to the floor and threatened.

The offender demanded money, before leaving with her purse and mobile phone. He is described as white, around 5’6” tall and wearing jeans and a dark blue anorak.

Investigating officer, DC Tony Lee, said: “This is a particularly nasty crime, which has left a vulnerable woman shaken and badly bruised. We need the public’s help to identify the suspect and bring them to justice.”
