Mansfield Woodhouse resident left 'petrified' after police cordoned off a street

Police have cordoned off a Mansfield Woodhouse road where a resident was left "petrified" after hearing "shouting and glass breaking".

Police have cordoned off Gladstone Street in Mansfield Woodhouse and a forensic team is currently at the scene. The road which backs onto terrace houses was littered with what looked like broken windscreen glass and plastic car debris.A neighbour who did not want to be named said she heard a commotion at about 1.30am this morning and the sound of breaking glass.She said:"I heard shouting and cars spinning off. I was really petrified."I lay back in bed and saw the police lights flashing."

Police have been contacted for a statement.
