A MANSFIELD Woodhouse hairdresser with multiple sclerosis (MS) is preparing to bake her socks off to raise cash and support people with the condition.

Ann Bishop, owner of ‘Encore…inspiring Styling’, will be taking part in Cake Break, a fundraising event for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The salon will throw open its doors on 4th May at 11am and a large selection of tasty treats will be available.

Cake Break is taking place during MS Week, from 30th April to 6th May, which aims to raise awareness of the most common disabling neurological condition affecting young adults. An estimated 100,000 people have MS in the UK but there is currently no cure and few effective treatments.

Ann, who was diagnosed with MS 14 years ago, said: “The MS Society provides invaluable support to people affected by multiple sclerosis in Mansfield and across the UK so help them continue to do so by supporting Cake Break- either throw your own or come along to ours.”
