MANSFIELD WOODHOUSE: Former soldier punched motorist after accident

A former soldier from Mansfield Woodhouse who left the Army in 2009 suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder has admitted assault.

Vaughan Cook, 25, from the Fairways, admitted punching a motorist on 20th December following a collision on the A611.

Mansfield Magistrates Court was told that Cook drove his Vauxhall into the rear of another vehicle, climbed out and assaulted the driver before leaving the scene of the accident.

The case was adjourned until 30th January for probation service reports to be drawn up.
