Mansfield woman’s death not treated as suspicious by police

Police are not treating the death of a woman in her 30s in Mansfield yesterday (7th July) as suspicious.

They were called to The New Inn Public House, Westgate, at about 2.20pm.

The woman, who was thought to be in her 30s, was taken to Kings Mill Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The pub was closed while investigations took place.

A police spokesman said a report would be prepared for a coroner.
