MANSFIELD: Training course for unemployed

Social enterprise Untapped Resource has secured funding to provide a four-day taster course in basic wood working skills.

The course is aimed at unemployed people from the Mansfield area who may want to try wood work as a career path.

The course is set to start on June 2nd for four consecutive days from 10am until 3pm.

By the end of the programme the students will have made something from recycled timber.

Organisers are looking for 10 people, aged 19 and above to take part in the programme.

The course is open to both men and women, and will fit in around school times, so there should be no childcare issues, a spokesman told Chad.
