Hide AdTony Hoggett, Tesco UK COO said: “We’re making some changes to the way a small number of our stores operate to help us run them more simply and deliver the best possible service to customers. Where there have been changes to a colleague’s role we will work with them to ensure they are fully supported.”
The company said the changes include bringing together different customer service desks so that shoppers can get everything they need in one place, and simplifying some tasks – such as the way we approach our General Merchandise operations.
Managers stated the way customers are shopping is changing so the company is ensuring stores are run to fit their needs in the 'most helpful' way.
Some job cuts will take place, added the chain of retailers.
