Bands and artists who have been involved with the Electric-Bear Productions recording studio in recent years have joined forces to put together their own version of Band Aid’s 80s Christmas song ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’.

“We thought recording a united Christmas song anthem would be a relevant way of showcasing talent over the Christmas period, Simon Hopkinson, owner of Electric-Bear Productions, said.

“We hope that the viewers will have a look through some of the artists’ and bands’ personal profiles, either on their Facebook pages or other social media interactions which is linked on the YouTube video.”

The Electric-Bear version of the Band Aid video was inspired by the Band Aid 20 re-make of the track in 2004 which featured current artists such as Dizzee Rascal.

And it even features a Dub-step breakdown where Dizzee famously added his rap, in an effort to widen the track’s appeal to a younger audience.

The video features (in order of appearance): Dan Hadfield (Gary Barlow soundalike/lookalike), Grace Lee (a 13-year-old vocalist), Jacob Buxton (from Royal Elephants), Sam Plenty (from For The Girl), Sam Jones (acoustic act), All Down But 9 (acoustic duo), Jaidon Brazier (of Mixed Reactions), Kyle Perry (from Stubblemelt), Paul and Chris Morton (of Dreaded Monkey), Charlotte Myford (singer), Harmonybeat (Mansfield-based band), Andrew Dawson (from Savage) and drums performed by Greg Simpkiss (from Royal Elephants).
