Mansfield store staff help retail giant raise £2 million for Help For Heroes

Staff at Debenhams in Mansfield have helped the company raise £2 million nationwide for the Help For Heroes charity.

Stores across the midlands, including Mansfield, raised almost £30,000 across the region following a series of fundraising initiatives.

The fundraising was spearheaded by Darren Kay, who is based at the Chesterfield store and manages stores across the region.

Fundraising projects have included Tough Mudder challenges, bake-offs, bike rides and raffles.

Darren himself has also cycled more than 350 miles on a static bike at stores across the region to help raise money.

He said: “We are delighted to have raised the £2 million.

“Everyone in store has been a passionate supporter of Help For Heroes and this milestone is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
