MANSFIELD businessman Phil Constantine transformed into a comic book superhero to raise more than £700 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Phil, who owns Atmospheric Interiors on Oxford Street with his wife Alison, dressed up as Spiderman to zip wire across the River Trent in Nottingham.

“It was a great experience and I am delighted with the sponsorship and support I have received from the people of Mansfield and friends and family,” he said.

Phil, who won retailer of the year at the Mansfield Chad Enterprise Awards, was hauled up 30 metres high in the basket of a large crane before he zip wired along the river watched by his family and friends below.

“There was a great atmosphere and some very nervous people there, 30m is pretty high up when you are being hauled up in a basket by a very large crane,” he added.
