Properties and land around the region area will go under the hammer this month, including a plot on the former Shoe Co site on Stockwell Gate.
Put up for auction by John Pye Property, the development site has planning permission for three, three-bed houses, one two-bed house and two one-bed apartments.
It has a guide price of £80,000.
Richard Reed MRICS Head of Property at John Pye Property Auctions, said: “Selling through our online auction, we achieve a huge amount of interest in residential properties – including London investors, and potential buyers from overseas.
The Shoe Co factory closed its doors in 2004 with the loss of around 50 jobs and the building was knocked down in 2006.
Much of the site has already been developed, but work on the area where the site cabins had been are still untouched.
Mansfield mayor Tony Egginton is eager to see the remaining area developed.
He said: “I’m wanting to see this development go ahead, it is part of the legacy I want to leave behind as my time as mayor.”
John Pye’s next online auction between 24th February and 3rd March.
