Mansfield road closed after serious lorry crash with pedestrian

Police have closed Quarry Lane in Mansfield after a serious collision between a lorry and a pedestrian.

The road is closed from the junction at Titchfield to the junctions with the A60 at St Peters Way and Sainsbury’s.

Officers remain on the scene and there is a traffic diversion is in place on Sheepsbridge Lane.

An air ambulance is in attendance while a man receives treatment for serious injuries.

Inspector Kylie Davies, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are currently working closely with our emergency services colleagues to close the road while a man receives treatment for his injuries.

“Quarry Lane will remain closed until it has been cleared and drivers are encouraged to avoid the area.

“We would ask that anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage please ring 101 with regards to incident number 350 of 17 July 2020."
