Officers were called to the scene at around 1.20pm today (Wednesday, July 15) after they received a report of dangerous driving after car was said to have flipped onto its roof in the road, crashing into other cars.
The road remains closed in both directions from the junction with Woodside Avenue to the mini roundabout near Berry Hill Lane and a cordon is in place as police try to investigate the cause of the crash.
Two people are reported to have suffered minor injuries from the collision between the three cars and a man has been taken to hospital for treatment for non life-threatening wounds.
Police have encouraged drivers to avoid the area until the road has been cleared.
