Mansfield refugee aid group has a huge response
Former All Saints School pupils Kate Ryan, Marie Higgins and Spencer Preuett, received a huge response when they set up their Facebook page Mansfield Appeal Aid For Refugees which now has more than 700 members.
Eight Mansfield businesses have joined forces to help the campaign which is ready to dispatch the aid thanks to Sean O’Connor and Co professional removals of Forest Town who have provided vans and drivers.

Hide AdKate Ryan, 38 of Whitegates Estate agents said: “We all became aware through reports how bad the situation was an dall three of us decided to do something about it.
“The response we have had has been unbelievable. the people and businesses of Mansfield have been fantastic.”
At their base at edwinstowe House , Edwinstowe the volunteers have packed approximately 400 boxes of supplies including second had clothing, blankets and bedding, tents and camping equipment.
They have also bagged up toiletries, sanitary products, toothpaste shampoo and babies clothes.

Hide AdRemoval expert Sean O’ Connor said: “My partner Hayley Jordan saw the post on Facebook I offered some of my vehicles to transport the aid over.
“I have a two year old son myself and after seeing the young lad washed up on the beach it really got to me. “I just wanted to help as much as possible.”
