MANSFIELD: Raiders’ haul is chicken feed

Raiders literally got away with chicken feed when they targeted allotments in Meden Vale.

Police say that thieves who broke into sheds at Kirton Close sometime between November 8 and 12, stole poultry feed worth £15.

Other recent break-ins in the area include:

14-15 Nov 2014. Sandy Lane, Mansfield. A moped which was left secured by a chain around a wheel, was stolen together with chain from front garden.

14-15 Nov 2014. Olive Grove, Forest Town. Offenders removed a fence panel to gain entry to rear of the property, broke wooden panel of garage. Then broke lock on shed door and stole chainsaw, copper piping and fitting from shed and garage,

14-15 Nov 2014. Ascot Drive, Mansfield. Raiders smashed window in rear patio door to gain entry to the house.

They then stole car keys to black Audi car, also stolen from driveway, 3 pairs of trousers, a pair of prescription glasses, white/blue sailing coat, a mirrored jewellery box in red Chinese lacquer, an amethyst/diamond white gold ring, a Russian multi coloured gold ring, a blue Topaz silver ring, a thick silver with a Blue John stone ring and a red/beige purse.

14-16 Nov 2014. Cromford Avenue, Mansfield. Raiders forced open a window and stole a rucksack which was emptied, an amount of money in coinage kept in tubes.

15-16 Nov 2014. Mandeen Grove, Mansfield. Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet, £80 in cash and a grey coloured hat with visible stitching were stolen from a car left unattended on the driveway.
